Shelly Morrison Currie
Shelly is a native of the Friendship/New Hill Community guided by strong family ties - the Walden's of Friendship and the Morrison's of New Hill.
She graduated from Apex High School and attended Wake Technical Community College majoring in Accounting.
Shelly is currently self employed as an Independent Damsel Pro with a mission to Equip, Empower, and Educate families on Non- Lethal means of Personal Protection and Security on the Go products. Shelly has served her community for thirty (30) plus years as a precinct official with the Wake County Board of Election and has worked for eight (8) years as an Insurance Coordinator at Cary Orthopedics and Consumer Credit Counselor at Triangle Family Services.
Her goal as the newest member of the New Hill Community Center Board is to work diligently on fundraising efforts. Her vision is to work with the current board members to create activities for the center to benefit the New Hill community and surrounding areas.
