Bob Kelly
After his graduation from Sanford Central High in Sanford, NC, Bob attended Western Carolina University. While at Western Carolina, Bob studied Business Administration and Psychology.
Bob served 3 years in the US Army beginning in 1964. His duty station was Heidelberg, Germany and his primary responsibilities were in data processing.
After being honorably discharged, Bob joined IBM at Research Triangle Park, NC where he worked for over 30 years. His initial duties at IBM were as a computer programmer and later he managed the data centers for the Southeast Region.
After retiring from IBM in 1997, Bob formed, and still today owns and manages, NC Professional Home Services Co., a home inspection and consulting company.
Bob moved to New Hill in 1970 to help care for his great aunt who was born and reared in New Hill.
In 2005 Bob was one of the initial founders of the New Hill Community Association and served as an officer in the association until 2011, when he helped found the New Hill Community Center organization. Bob is currently vice-president of the New Hill Community Center organization.
